the island of New Guinea between the Coral Sea and the
South Pacific Ocean, east of Indonesia.

COFFEE BACKGROUND:
Coffee found it's way to Papua New Guinea when Jamaica
Blue Mountain Coffee seedlings were brought in and planted
in 1927. Because of climatological similarities between
the two countries, the coffee thrived in it's new home.
SPECIES:
Arabica
ALTITUDE AT WHICH GROWN:
This exotic coffee is grown at elevations between 4500-6000
feet above sea level. The bulk of the coffee is cultivated
on extremely small farms, practically gardens, by thousands
of coffee farmers who are organized into co-ops sharing
processing facilities. These farmers use no artificial
fertilizer and no chemical sprays -- the coffees are "Certified
Organic"!
Papua
New Guinea coffee is well-balanced
with a sweet and bright acidity, a heavy earthy body and
a complex and wild fruity aroma.
PREPARATION METHOD: “Washed” |
