Iced Coffee

  • To brew a pot of Iced Coffee, double the amount of ground coffee you would normally use to brew hot coffee. We recommend using 1 Standard Measure (2 level tablespoons) of coffee to each 3 ounces of fresh, cold water.
  • After brewing, add ice to the coffee until the mixture doubles in volume. The melting ice weakens the coffee's taste, which is why Iced Coffee is brewed stronger initially.
  • To keep Iced Coffee cold and fresh, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Make your Iced Coffee fresh each day to ensure the best tasting beverage.
  • When serving Iced Coffee, add milk, cream or sugar to taste.

  • 1 teaspoon almond flavoring

  • Add the cardamom to the ground coffee, and brew the coffee.
  • When the coffee is brewed, add the sugar and almond flavoring, mix well and then let the coffee cool to lukewarm.
  • Fill four 12 ounce highball glasses half-way to the rim with crushed ice and then fill two-thirds full with coffee.
  • Into each glass, stir about 1 tablespoon of heavy cream.
  • To achieve a layered effect, hold a spoon on top of the coffee and pour the cream slowly into the spoon so that the cream floats on top of the glass over the coffee.
